Let me start off by saying...I AM NOT a fan of the color yellow. In fact in most instances if not all instances I think it should be banned! LOL. I'm serious!
*But...it's OK if you like it.* =)
BUT, while looking through a Lowe's Creative Idea's magazine, I happened to notice a cute little sign. It was yellow and green and simple. And it said Sweet Corn. OH YEAH! Nothing says summer like sweet corn right?? So, I broke down...went against all I believe in where yellow is concerned and painted with yellow.
I'm such a big girl. I am evolving if you will. =)
I was lucky enough to bring some weathered wood home from my husband's family's ranch. Oh good stuff indeed! I measured and used my hand saw to cut it. Then I spray painted it Krylon's Bright Idea yellow. I gave it two very healthy coats. While it was drying, I created SWEET CORN and used my Silhouette to cut it out.
I transferred the vinyl to the sign.
Then painted it a blue/green mixture of paint I had on hand.
Then peeled the vinyl off. And sanded lightly to expose [more] yellow. ;)
I tied it on each end with hemp string for hanging.
Whatta ya think??
Thanks for stopping by.
Have a great day!
