YAY! I finally have a project to blog about!! Woot Woot! BUT...before I get to that: I want to thank all of you for your kind comments, encouragement, and support. I truly appreciate it! I have been SOO crazy busy the past week or so and haven't gotten to respond through email. I hope you will accept my 'group' thank-you!! =)
!OK!
I am gearing up for a show this weekend and spent the most part of Monday and all day Tuesday creating loot. I had 9! YES 9! Projects going today. *eee gads* I'm tired!
I will show pictures of them all at some point. But for now, here is the very last project I worked on today.
I did NOT take pictures along the way. I created, painted and sanded my brains out today. No time for any pictures but the finished product. Sorry. =(
Again, I used a cabinet door.
This is the first time I have used a solid white cabinet door.
I decided not to change the white.
Well...except with a little topcoat. =)
I gave it a light coat of Ace Hardware's Turquoise Bay.
I purchased it in a paint pod to see if I liked it.
Oh and I LIKE it!
Once dry, I sanded it to expose the white.
Oh yeah, shabby beach cottage feel.
I used Walnut Distress Ink and rubbed it
around the edges and across the front.
I can.not.lie~~>I {LOVE} Distress Ink.
Then, I added a dark brown Up Words & On Words vinyl design that I created.

*if only it were this easy*
Here it is:
Whattya think??

Have a great day!

Love this! Love the shades of color, the font and the scale. Very nice!
ReplyDeleteYour sign turned out really cute. I love anything beachy or "relaxing", so this is right up my alley. I'd never heard of distress inks before, so you inspired me to look it up on youtube. Now I've just gotta find a project to do. Thanks for sharing -- and inspiring!
ReplyDeleteI love the hint of blue in it. I could look at that for days. Great job! : )..
