Here's what I did:
I spray painted a 11 1/4" x 11 1/4" mdf board Italian Olive
(that my Mr. cut from a 6' mdf board. He also routered the edges)
Sanded it so it was nice and smooth.
(*sorry forgot pic)
I used mod podge and put a damask patterned paper on it.
I distressed the edges with Walnut Distress Ink...because I really wasn't sure what I wanted to do with it yet.
AH HA!! Plan made.
I created my design and used my Silhouette to cut the vinyl lettering out.
I used transfer tape for the transfer process.
Transferred the vinyl to the board.
I dry brushed SW's Divine White across the front.
Then added Distress Ink to the front.
I peeled the lettering off and ended up with this:
The Divine White pulled the blues and greens from the damasks. {like}
I distressed the front and edges. AGAIN. =)
It is actually read-able in real life.
~~>*And if I knew how to work my camera...this might have been a better picture*<~~
boo hiss!
It wasn't as I had envisioned it would be but it is what it is. ;)
I like it...for now!
