I love old windows.
How about you?
This is the 3rd one
I have done in
this similar style.
I sanded it a little and darkened
the edges with Dark Walnut
Distress Ink.
(let me add, if the ink doesn't sink into the wood
it will rub off on your hands or can be washed away
with water)
Then I stared on it.
Crickets chirp.
Hmmm....what the heck
story am I going to
give this window?
For some reason,
I had a song stuck in my head called
Time of Your Life by
Green Day.
And so it became about time.
I hope you had the time of your life.
Song lyrics.
Yes!
I created an Up Words & On Words
vinyl design. I cut it out in brown vinyl
using my Silhouette.
{LOVE my Silhouette, LOVE it!}
I applied the vinyl to the glass.
Then I took a piece of scrapbook paper
which actually this piece is thick like card stock and
added three metal scrapbooking
clock faces to it.
You probably can't see them
very well but they are placed at 1, 2 and 3 o'clock.
No real reason.
I used brown thumb tacks to add the
scrapbook paper to
the back of the window.
This way, the paper can be changed,
the clock faces can be adjusted
and a picture could be added
at some point.
=)
And here she is:
I hope you had the time of your life.
(this is a rough pic, I know. But, it's hard to get a good one with all the reflections)
1, 2 & 3 o'clock
I love it! Love it! Love it!
I took it to my space at Marketplace 3301
but if I would have decided to keep it
instead of put it up for sale,
I would've added
pictures of my life's
biggest moments.
Or those moments of my
boys.
Maybe who ever buys it
will do something similar!
Thanks for stopping by!
