While out thrifting I found a great piece of wood
that measured about 4' long by 12" tall.
SUPER AFFORDABLE!!
Before picture? Crud. I knew I didn't have ALL my ducks in a row.
Darn it!
LOL
My wonderful Husband cut the board for me. He cut 3-12" pieces and
1 slightly smaller. (I haven't used it yet)
YAY Hubby!
Here is what the board looked like once cut:
And with a spray painted back:
The other board (you will see in a minute) was given to me
by my Mom. She purchased it while out thrifting. I sanded it thinking...hey, I can
use this. Then I noticed it had a heart and leaf pattern on it.
Soo...I knew it had to be covered. I spray painted it black!
On with the show!
K...so I spray painted all the boards to coordinate with scrapbook paper
I chose to cover the "signs" with.
Nothing special. Just took em out and gave them a quick coat.
I picked out 4 pieces of scrapbook paper each with a different pattern.
And used Elmer's spray adhesive to apply the paper to the wood.
This stuff works well! Be sure to protect your area and surrounding
area though...it can get kind of messy.
Nature of the beast. =)
I used a box cutter and a cutting board to remove the excess paper.
Here they are all fancied up:
I lightly sanded the edges and outlined them with
Walnut and Black Soot distress ink.
I created some
Up Words & On Words vinyl lettering to further embellish them. I used beige, white, dark grey {LOVE} and dark brown for the lettering.
I applied the words to the newly beautified signs.
Here they are:

(this is the "other" one, lol)
They will all be added to the space I have rented at
Here's a sneak peak of my treasured space!
Hopefully some of the sneak peak looks familiar!
=)
Thanks for stopping by!
Have a great day!
