Another DIY Apothecary Jar creation

I have seen these Apothecary inspired candle stick holder/candle pillars all over blog land. In fact, I had saved a link from a site I saw them on. Only now...that link won't open. :( And I can't remember whose site it was since I have seen them on several sites. Anyhow~~>to you INCREDIBLY creatively talented blogger's who have done this and posted your results~~>Thank you, I appreciate you sharing with us!

Anyhow...here is my unoriginal yet still pretty cool take on this idea:

I started out with 2 candle pillars and 2 candle stick holders.
I used E6000 and put it on the edge of the top of the candle stick. I placed the pillars on top and left them. ;)
I placed a couple phone books on top of them to create a little bonding pressure.

In the meantime:

I took 2 battery operated candles purchased at the Dollar Store and gave them a coat of Burnt Umber craft paint. Once dry, I added a coat of Valspar's Weathered Crackle Glaze and let dry. Once that was dry, I added a thin coat of Sky Blue craft paint. Neat-O!
When they were dry and the the E6000 did it's job, I added some Dollar Store rocks to the pillars, batteries to the candle, and put the freshly painted candles in the pillars.

Umm...so-so I guess. Aren't those candles NEAT-O??
Needed a smidge more..so...I found a design from the Silhouette online store, added some dots to it and cut it in dark brown vinyl. I transferred the design onto the pillars. I put them on at slightly different heights to add a little contrast.

There!

And here they are on display:
